London holiday

The London holiday is currently based at Holyport College in Berkshire. (In previous years it has been hosted at  St John's Beaumont in Berkshire.)

The building has improved accessibility which allows us to host young people who use wheelchairs.  There is ramped access and accessible showers are available, but there are no fixed hoists or similar equipment.

We generally spend around three days of the holiday offsite, visiting local attractions and sometimes travelling a bit further afield by coach.  Day trips could include  Chessington World of Adventures, the swimming pool,  Thames Valley Adventure Playground and a trip to a trampoline work,

On our onsite days we have lots of fun activities and visitors to keep us busy. Activities we have enjoyed in previous years include visits from magicians and animals such as therapy dogs and birds of prey, cold cooking, arts and crafts, sensory sessions, messy games and lots of discos!

The Newman Holiday Trust is an entirely voluntary organisation. The Trust has no paid staff and therefore all money donated goes directly towards providing holidays for children with disabilities and special needs.
