South holiday at St Dominic’s
The South holiday at St Dominic's, Surrey
The South holiday at St Dominic's provides children from the Reading, Berkshire and Oxford catchment with an exciting week-long break every summer.
St Dominic's School is located in Godalming, Surrey and is one of the oldest schools in the country catering for students with special needs. There are excellent facilities at the school, including a large hall for activities, and extensive gated grounds that include a playground, sandpit and spacious fields for all sorts of creative games.
St Dominic's is well situated to access a number of exciting attractions, although sometimes we like to venture a little further afield to introduce new activities - and to ensure we have some time on the coach for singing!
All NHT volunteers are amazing people who come from a variety of backgrounds, and St Dominic's benefits from a wide range of volunteers including several doctors, nurses and teachers. All of our wonderful volunteers care about giving the children the best holiday possible and give 100% to ensure the week is a fun and brilliant experience for all. See our photo gallery to see for yourselves!
The Newman Trust really does enhance the lives of the disabled children who attend.
The experience was extremely important to my son – thank you both and to all the team again, and to his helper who he adored spending time with!
When my son talks about the holiday his little face lights up.
As a family we gratefully appreciate all you have done for us. It takes special people to do something like that and you are up there with the best.
My daughter was with a group of very caring, friendly and hard-working staff who helped her to have a very memorable holiday.
This whole experience has helped [my daughter] to grow in confidence and has been a real boost to her social skills.
